The Delta Variant is more infectious and more powerful than previous variants. Delta now makes up for the majority of cases in the US and abroad with cases rising all over the US in cities that seemed to be returning back to normal.
Where did Delta come from and will there be more variants like it? The more a virus exists in a population, the more it will mutate and evolve over time. Delta is a variant of what came before and due to our lack of reaching a vaccinated population threshold, there will likely be more variants in the future.
